Artist Post - Samurai - Black Magic White Lies

Samurai is the stage name for the performing rap artist, producer, song writer, and engineer known as Arion C Rogers. Born on May 1, 1980 Arion was raised on the southside of Chicago, IL. Arion developed talent at a young age learning the piano at 7, the B flat Clarinet at 10, writing his first poem and composing his first music composition at 17. Arion performed his first song in 2000 at a open mic hip hop poetry Gospel set at Apostolic Church of God on 63rd and Dorchester.  Later in that same year he performed for the alderman of Hyde Park at Washington Park. In 2001 he began doing shows for a small time talent show at the fine arts theater Down Town Chicago. He also performed for an African Expo at the Legacy Theater in 2002. Arion began to further his talent 2003 when he performed at the East of the Ryan and the Dating Game  for a television show called Expose. From 2004 to 2007 Arion continued with his education at the International Academy of Design and Technology.  His areas of study were Audio Engineering, Web Design, and 3D modeling and animation. During this time he performed at small functions and joined a lot of Hip hop clubs. In 2007 Arion began the production of  Samurai's first album entitled "Ancient Scrolls"  Arion continued to grow more as an artist however he also became more Knowledgeable of the Business. In 2009 Arion began the foundation of  Shogun Studios.
